Pallet Racking (APR) sometimes known as Conventional Pallet Racking

Adjustable Pallet Racking (APR) sometimes known as Conventional Pallet Racking

This is a commonly used pallet racking system within the warehouse environment. It is easy to configure to suit many different racking layout options due to its flexibility in height, bay width and depth; this makes it a very popular cost-effective storage solution.

Heights are available from 2m to 20metres. Beams can be adjusted by 50mm increments; this allows for optional pallet height posting. Some systems that we use have a bay load capacity up to 40 tonnes. Adjustable Pallet Racking Systems are available in different finishes such as powder coating in various colours to high grade pre-galvanised finishes.

Key points

Access: Front Side only (single bays not against walls should be clad with anti-collapse mesh at the back).
Allows picking at lower levels
Really good when you have low numbers of pallets per SKU
One pallet deep, so it supports first in first out (FIFO)
It can be configured with various Aisle widths (Standard, Narrow or Very Narrow), and in back-to-back runs.
Offers pallet height adjustability
Offers different posting orientations
Full access to all stored pallets.
Can be configured for barrel storage and more specialised storage solutions.

Maintenance

As most of the damage on racking occurs below 1m, front uprights benefit from having upright protection to minimise damage by fork lift trucks.
End of the frames runs need barrier protection.
