WKC – Pallet Racking Inspections

WKC – Pallet Racking Inspections

Do you really need a racking inspection?

The easy and quick answer is YES!

Racking inspections are mandatory and need to be undertaken at least once a year, as required by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and defined within the PUWER guide lines. It is a HSE directive for an employer to ensure that the racking is inspected on a regular basis, in order for you to ensure and maintain the safety of your warehouse environment.

Racking Damage occurs frequently, due to knocks, dents, impacts, bad installation, loose fixtures and fittings. Any damage can make racks unsafe.
We fully understand the importance of minimising disruption to your warehouse operation whilst necessary repairs are fixed.
Our fully qualified Racking Inspectors will conduct an on-site inspection of your warehouse and will produce a comprehensive report that conforms to the Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association Guide (SEMA)

The report will highlight any issues with your racking and provide an easy-to-understand colour coded ‘Traffic Light’ system to highlight what needs to be fixed as a priority.

Your risks will be categorised into the following:

REDS

AMBERS

GREENS

This will enable you to easily prioritise any required repairs to help minimise disruption to your warehouse operation.
